I’m in the process of putting together a website. I was lucky enough that Mari Carr shared with me some website info, and now I have a designer in mind. So soon enough I won’t be blogging here but on a site. I think…we’ll see.
Edits begin in a week or so on Songbirds, and my current Work In Progress (WIP), which I have affectionately named “The One With The Texting And The Marine” is rolling along. Still fleshing out characters but it feels good to be writing new material and not just editing or rewriting or revising.
Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend!
My contract hasn’t been filed yet with Ellora’s Cave, so I can’t technically start edits yet on my first novella. So in the wait time, I have started a new project. Starting new works is a blessing and a curse.
The blessing comes in when I get to start all over with fresh ideas, especially when staring at an older work is starting to make my eyes cross.
The curse is that I still don’t know my characters yet. So I’m floundering right now, dealing more with the plot and letting the characters come out as it goes along. I layer emotion in the following rounds.
Of course, I have a million other things going on…not the least of which is moving again. Busy work, busy bee!
First blog post, no pressure.
I’m starting this blog, in hopes that I can morph it eventually into a full-fledged website. I’m kind of on the “slow” side when it comes to those things techie, so we’ll see. For now, I’m on here, and I’m on Twitter as authorKJReed.
There’s some good info about me in the About KJ page. And all you really need to know is that I’m an erotic romance author whose first book, a contemporary novella titled Songbirds, just sold to Ellora’s Cave for their Love Notes theme. It should be released in November of this year, but I’ll have more details as that approaches.
Right now I’m working on my next work, hoping to get the ball really started on my writing career!
